Sensation at New Plymouth.
o (Per Press Association.) New Plymouth, October 9. The premises of a dressmaker, Miss Whitaker, were broken into last night by a man who attempted to assault Miss Whitaker, who is a middle-aged woman. A long struggle ensued until a neighbor was aroused. On his arrival the man decamped. This morning Osborne Wall, an umbrella mender, was arrested on suspicion and remanded till Friday next.
