Wedding Bells.

A fashionable and one of the prettiest weddings ever celebrated in Wanganui was solemnised at Christ Church yesterday afternoon. It was the occasion of the marriage of Miss Hilda Montgomerie, fifth daughter of the late Captain and Mrs Moutgomerie, of Wanganui, to George Yates Lethbndge, youngest son of Mr G. Y. Lethbridge, of Turakina, and if a glorious clay, a large host of well-wishers, and a beautiful ceremony are to be taken as an augury, then the happy couple have every reason to lejoice. After the ceremony the wedding party and guests proceeded to the residenco of the bride's mother, Wilson street, where, in a large marquee erected for the jmrpose, the wedding breakfast was partaken of. The customary toasts were heartily honored. The wedding presents, numbering fully two hundred, were choice, valuable and varied, and included five ten guinea cheques, besides a number of smaller amounts, four cases of solid silver spoons, beautiful and costly wallaby rug, three mirrors, handsome clock, silver and other photo frames, and other articles of fancy work. Mr and Mrs G. Y. Lethbridge left by the evening train for Palmerston en route for Napier. The bride's travelling dress was a handsome tailor-made fawn costume, brown cape trimmed with beaver aud a picture hat to match. We join with their many friends in wishing them a long and happy wedded life. — Chronicle. ___
