RUAHINE v. RANGIWAHIA.
Last Saturday the return match was played between Ruahiue and Rangiwabia —tbe former winning by six runs. The wicket was bad and the scores low. The visitors were entertained at the Ruabine school at luncheoa and afternoon tea, which was very enjoyable. The ride to Ruahine and back somewhat marred the day's pleasure, as parts of the road were so bad. Th« following are the scores : —
For the winners Messrs J. Sixtus and O'Dwyer were the bowlers, and for the losers Messrs Saywell, Stansell, and Stevens. Most of the men were caught, Ross, " the demon catch," catching four men. The third match will be played on Saturday, 17th instant.
The Marton Clab have decided not to joiu the Manawatu Cricket Union this season, but have consented to play Wednesday matches during the coming season, as suggested by the Feilding Club. Mr A. G. Carty has resigned his position as secretary to the Feilding Club, and, also, that of treasurer to the Maua« watu Union.
