Birmingham Notes

(From Our Own Correspondent) The Birmingham Cricket Club will open its season on Saturday next with a scratch match. The members are putting in a good deal of work to tho ground, which in time will be a good one. The Salvation Army have had a couple of representatives in this and the Apiti districts for a conple of weeks. They have met with much success in Apiti, so much so, that they intend to open permanently in the place. Its permanency is doubtful.
