The Australians began their first match against Philadelphia to-day, and going in first were all out for 192 : — Giffen 62, Hill 42 and Iredale 25 were the chief scores. The home team were all dismissed for 91. Later. The Americana scored 123 in the first innings (not 91). In the second innings the Australians lost nine wickets for 157, Darling 69, Giffen not out.
