Stock Market.
Mr Chas. Carr reports :— Having been unable (on account of accident) to attend my stock sales at Birmingham and Feilding, on the 15th and 18th instants, Mr N. Gorton and Mr O. Cooper very kindly officiated in my absence, the former at Feilding, and the latter at Birmingham. A fair amount of stock was yarded at Birmingham. The vendors were evidently unaware of the recent fall in values of sheep, consequently the reserves were high. Only a few -pens were disposed of. At FeiftUag the bidding was somewhat dull. However most of the stock found purchasers as under : — Birmingham— Hoggets 6s 9d to 7s 7d, store wethers 103 6d ; 2 year steers £2 10s, 18-month heifers 345. Feilding— Fat cows £4 14s, fat heifers £4, mixed yearling's and weauers32s 6d, store wethers Us 3d, 11s 6d and lls lid, empty 2 and 4- tooth ewes 10s, mixed hoggets 7s 8d to lls 3d, store pigs 14s.
