The finder of a whip lost last evening on the Makino road will be rewarded on returning the same to the Star office. Confound it { said a testy old gentleman, the proprietor and editor of this paper ought to be prosecuted ; I was just reading a nice pithy paragraph, and fpund it wound up by advising rue to take Wood's Great Peppermint Cure for Coughs and Colds, sold by all Grocers and Cnenitste ; the price was only 1/6 but the advice was invaluable.— Advt. Tenders for stumping, advertised for by Mr C. A. J. Leyett, of Kiwitea, will close on the 30th inst. The first lamb of the season is advertised at Mr Rutherford's Feilding butchery.
