I (Per Press Association.) Auckland. Sept. 12. To-day the Hon. Mr and Airs Mitchelson celebrated their silver wedding. There was a large assemblage of guests at his residence at Waitarainoa, and numerous congratulations were sent to the popular couple. Mr Mitchelsoa leaves on Monday for Parliamentary duties Dunkdin, Sept. 12. A boy named In#ram, S years of age, sent on Wednesday for some groceries, I ! has never returned and no trace of bim can be found. "Wellington, SeptcmLcr 13. The woman who attempted suicide on Friday night was Lizzie Crabb, not Leonard, and was a single woman, but had a row with the man Leonard. She has been removed to the hospital and is recovering. Mr F. 0. D. Shipton, one of the oldest commercial men on the road in New Zealand, died in the hospital to day. He had been ailing from an internal complaint for some time and only a day or two ago aD operation was performed and though it was known he could uotlivo out a year, the end was net expected to be so near. He was about 68 }'ears of age and greatly respected.
