Stowaway Drowned at Sea.

o — (Per Press Association.) Dunedin, Sept. 9. During the passage of the barque- Dilpussund, which arrived from New York to-day, a casualty occurred after the vessel left Pernambuco, where she had put in to have repairs effected , the damage ha vine been caused by a pale and heavy sea. On August 6, during a heavy gale Carl Anderson, a stowaway from Pernambuco, was washed overboaad. A lifebuoy was thrown and a watch kept and the ship hauled, but the unfortunate man never appeared. He seemed to sink at once. __
