The Matabele Rising.
(Per Press Association.) Capetown, Sept. 8. The Matabele chief Makoni, recently captured, was tried by Court martial, and being convicted, was shot. Many waggons lo9t by the British troops have been recovered in caves in which the Matabele were driven. It bas been discovered that the rebels hanged many white women. This Day. Six Matabele prisoners including | Makoni's son, have escaped from Fort Salisbury.
