The lockout at Govan has been averted, and the men will resume j work. ; j The report that Captain Drefu3 had escaped from the penal settlement in Cayenne (French Guiana) is denied. The manifesto of the colonial delegates to the Irish Convention has convinced the Convention that the colonies earnestly desire unity of the Party, on the basis that the majority shall rule. Mr Dillon st ales that if unity is restored, the Irish opposition to Imperial questions will render the Government of Iroland impossible. The Irish National League of Great Britain has rejected all its officers who were Healy supporters, including Tim Healy himself. The Australian , mutton combination has failed, as one large holder of Sydney pheep is selling below tho minimum price fixed. The Liberal Press complain that at the Irish Convention there is no scheme of unity and that the proceedings are of | a very discouraging spectacle. The newspnpers assert that the Anti Liberal attitude of the Irieh Priests is painfully plain Tim Healy in the course of an interview, admitted that neither Mr Dillon nor he were fit for the position as leader of the party as both represented a certain faction. Berlin, Sept. 6. The Czar and Czarina have arrived at Breslau, where they had an enthusiastic reception. The Kaiser, in proposing the health of the Czar, said be was the bulwark of peace. The Czar in reply said he was animated by bis father's sentiments towards Germany. St. Petersburg, Sept. 6. Schouvaloff is in a critical state through paralysis.
