o Mr R. E. Beckett held his usual monthly stock sale at Hunterville on Thursday. Notwithstanding the downpoor and the badness of the roads good supplies of both sheep and cattle came forward. The hi{?h prices obtained at 'the previous sale were fairly well maintained. The following are quotations : —Cattle— Weaners and yearlings, 25s to 40s ; 2yr steers and heifers £2 da to £2 15s ; milk cows, £i to ±'4 10s ; 3yr steers i' 3 10s. Sheep— Forward wethers, 12s 7d ; tat ewes, lls ; hoggets, 8s 9d to 9a 6d maiden ewes, fat, lls 9d.
