Dunedin Supreme Court.

(Per Press Association.) Dunedin. August 31. At the Supreme Court, the Grand Jury found true bills in all but one case, that of Mary O'Neil charged with theft. Five persons, who pleaded guilty, were Riven the benefit of the F^s* Offenders Probation Act-namely, Albert Larkin, tbeft from a dwelling ; Andrew Ingram and Alfred Dyer, tram driver and conductor, for stealing a purse and money found in a car ; Harry _ Bruce, theft of a cart; and Frank Thomas, stealing three watches. J. Findlay, a voutb, also applied for probation, but in View of his previous character he received Six months for forgery. John Howard received two years for stealing a coat, his record included convictions at Wellington, Christchurch, Ashburton, Oamaru, Dunedin and Queenstown. A youth, charged with indeoent assault, was acquitted. The trial of Carl Matson for murder, is expected to be taken on Thursday next. __«— .
