The Kirby Case.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. Io the Supreme Court, Jones, contractor, brought an action to recover from Ex-detective Kirby, an amount cf £200 estreated bail. The facts were admitted. Mr Jellicoe for the defence argued no precedent, and quoted several cases decided in England. Mr Bell, for he plaintiff, quoted several American precedents. Judgment was reserved.
