Stock Market.
«. Messrs Abraham and Williams re port : — Colyton and Palmerston represent our market report for the week. At the former, on Tuesday, a fall yarding of sheep came forward. Hoggets sold briskly at prices somewhat better than late rates. Other sorts unchanged. Cattle, in limited numbers, were confined chiefly to female and dairy stock, but the inquiry was only limited. ; At Palmerston yesterday some useful | steers, both in fresh and store condition, were yarded, and though cleared to a fair demand, vendors' prices were hardly realised. A small entry of cow beef of moderate quality proved fully equal to requirements. Sheep, rather below average numbers, were above the ordinary quality. Bidding was steady and all lots quitted. We quote : — \ Fresh bullocks, M 15s ; 2£ and B-year bullocks in store condition, £'6 10s ; fat , cows, £\ 10s ; 18 to 20- month steers, £2 11s 6d to £2 17s 6d ; weaners, 20s. \ Prime fat wethers, 14s 6d ; forward and fat do, 12s to 12s 3d; others, 11s; fat ewes, 10s to 10s 6d ; choice hoggets, JOs 3d ; others, 8s; 4-year-old Lincoln ewes, good quality, 10s lid ; store ewes, Bs.
