ASHURST-POHANGINA RACING CLUB.
At a meeting of the above held on Wednesday evening at the Masonic Hotel, Ashurst, Mr T. Woods was elected starter, Mr J. E.Henry handicapper, Mr D. H. Roberts timekeeper, and Messrs Freeman. Rumble and. Piercy a ground committee. The following programme -was drawn up for the approval of the Metropolitan Club: — Maiden Hurdles, :>5 soys, l ; j miles ; Ashurst Guineas, 50 soys, 1 mile ; Flying Handicap, ;35 soys, 6 furlongs ; Manawatu Gorge Handicap, 100 soys, H miles ; Maidon Plate, 25 soys, 1 mile and a distance ; Visitors' Handicap, ;*5 soys, 7 furlongs ; Siberia Handicap, 85 soys, 1 mile ; Scurry Stakes Handicap, 25 soys, 5 furlongs.
