O- - (Per Press Association.) Dunedin. August 5. At the annual meeting of the Refrigerating Company, the chairman (Mr T. Brydone) said the net profit for the year had been L 2290. The loss which had been made in past years through the company having to buy sheep to fulfil engagements had been reduced to £'4325. As many shareholders wero not sbeeprcwnerfl, it seemed reasonable to pay a small dividend out of tbo profit after writing down the loss by £1800. When the books were audited, it was not proposed to pay tho dividend ; bat since it had been proposed the auditor bad written to say be did not think it ought to be done.
