A Gigantic Failure.

(Per Press Association.) Washington, August 4. Moore Bros., financiers, Chicago, have failed for a million sterling, in consequence of -which the exchange was closed to-day. August 5. The closing of the Chicago Exchange was the result of a conference attended by 40 bankers. This action it is thought will make a panic unlikely.
