Strange Case of Drowning.
(Por Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. The body p* John Edward Hayes, head of a weli-lwo^n plumbing firm, was found in the harbour this .morning. For some time past the deceased had been in the habit of bathing bis legs from the gridiron attached to the watermen's shed, and it is surmised he was following bis usual practice last night find slipped, or had a fit, and fell in the Y/a,iev\ Early this morning his overcoat,' boofe, aud eticjf were found on the gridiroa, and '4raggin^ operations resulted in the recovery of ojs JJqijiy, with the trousers rolled up above the knees. He leaves a wife and family.
