The German gunboat Iltis, an iron vgbpel of 4H9 tons displacement and 340 indicated horsepower, carrying 83 hands, foundered in a typhoon off the Shantung Promontory, ac the entrance to the Gulf lot Pe-chi-h. Only two of those on board were saved. London, July 29. Shares in the National Bank of New Zealand are quoted at £1 15s ; Bank of New Zealand 4 per cent.J guaranteed stock, 1061; New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company's prior lien 4 per cent debentures, 102. The Australian Estates Mortgage Company is issuing £400,000 of 5 per cent mortgage debentures at 97, for the purpose of acquiring further properties.
