♦ Colyton defeated Ashurst, at Ashurst, on Wednesday last by 9 points to nil. For the winners G. Evans scored a try, which P. Smith converted into a goal, and W. Fetch kicked a goal from a free kick. Owing to the sodden state of the ground TasSs Saturday the match which was to have been played at Colyton between Colyton players and the "old boys " did not take place, bat was postponed till tomorrow, when the Colyton Club will be represented by— Fitch (2), Blake, Smith (2), Adsett, Heslop, Oarlick, Dunn, Gledhill, Stewart, Burton, Humphrey, Stevens, Woodman ; emergencies, Geeig, Burton, Ivess, F. Evans. At a recent meeting of tho Wellington Rugby Union it was reported that a supporter of one of the affiliated clubs had used insulting language to a referee whose decisions he had not agreed with. After some discussion it was decided to take no action in the present case, although it was understood that in any future cases reported to the Union the offender would not be allowed to play on any ground under tho control of the Union. ;
