Brunner Relief Fund.

(Per Press Association.) "Wellington, July 18. The Brunner Beliei Cen:ral fommistee met to-day the Premier in the clnar. The Secretary reported that the fund contributed now totalled L 29.000 and there were still a few outstanding subscriptions to come in. It was pointed out that this •mount was over the estimate, and would enable them to make an increase in the amount which it was originally intended to grant each lamily. The original proposal was to allow 4a each for the tret two children and 3s for each of the remaining children. It was thought that With this added money the Committee will be able to allow 4s for every child, and there is a probability of being able to add to the LIOOO originally set aside ror preliminary expenses. The Public Tnistee promised to rn*ke another calculation on the basis of the increased amount.
