Wellington. July 11. Mr Hall bas given notice to ask the Minister of Lands, whether he will make provision on tbe estimates for constructing or partly constructing the Norsewood — Apiti Road ? Mr J. McKenzie (in reply to a remark of Sir Robert Stout's) — I am not sub ordinate to any member in this House. I claim to be quite as independent as be is and I will not allow him to refer to me as being subordinate to any person. Sir R. Stout.— You are subordinate to tbe Premier. Mr J. McKenzie I—l1 — I am not. The Premier.— Hear, bear. Sir R. Stout. — Pardon me. Mr J. McKenzie. — I am tbe colleague of tbe Premier and I have never looked upon myself as the subordinate in tbe sense in which the honorable gentleman referred to me to-night. I hope he will just take a lesson from that, otherwise I may refer to him in a way he will not like,
