o (Per Press Association.) Capetown, July 9. White relieved Fort Charter, marching from Buluwayo in twelve days and defeated the rebels. He found the insurrection extended all along the route. Beal has relieved two hundred whites, who were beleagued at Elgforn. July 10. Ware's patrol barned many Kraals and killed 15 of the enemy, who took refuge in the caves. Lord Grey, Administrator of the Chartered Company, has accepted the offer of the Cape Government to transport a corps to Rhodesia on condition that the Company pays the cost ot the corps ordered to proceed to Beira. London, July 9. Alarmist cablegrams are being received reporting the prevalence of digcontent at Fort Salisbury. The officers disagree upon the methods of defence, and supplies are quoted at fabulous prices. It is reported that Mr Chamberlain presides over the inquiry into the conduct of the Chartered Company.
