Mr Chas. Carr reports on his Feilding sale, held yesterday;— Notwithstanding the very rough weather, the yards were well filled with sheep and cattle. There was a decided rise in the values of all classes of sheep. The sale was very largely attended, and bidding throughout was brisk. Tbe quotations realised were —Fat cows _t'4, 2-yr steers £3 Bs, 2_r-yr steers £3 12s 6d, weaners 28s, springers £2 16s to £5 lOs, wethers 9s to 10s 6d, shorn lambs 4s 6d to 7s Bd, fat ewes 9s, ewes in lamb (mixed ages) 7s 6d to 9s lOd. Messrs Gorton and Son report :— We held a most successful sale at Sandon yesterday and, notwithstanding the very unfavorable weather, had a large attendance. All classes of sheep advanced in price and, after keen competition, we said every line under the hammer. Only five head of cattle oame forward, for wbich there was no demand. We quote —Fat and forward wethers lis, ewes and wethers (very good) lis, forward ewes 8s Id to 8s 2d, fat ewes 9s, empty ; ewes 6s 4d to 7s, inferior ewes in lamb 4a lid to 5s 7d, medium lambs 6s 4d to 6a 9d, light draft mare £9.
