Stock Market.
Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co.'s Wanganui stock report (telegraphed) to the New Zealand Times) is as follows : —At Waverley the cattle yards were well filled, mostly with steers. Sheep were iv rather small lines. We had good competition, and cleared the yards. At Wauganui the sheep yards were full, but very few cattle came forward. Bidding for sheep was brisk, aud we succeeded in disposing of the whole before tbe close of the day. Pigs were in small supply, but prices are no better than last week's. Cattle.— At Waverley: Steers, £2 ls to £3 14s ; bullocks, £4 to £5 ; cows £3 6s to £4. At Wanganni : Milkers, £2 6s to £6 lis ; yearliugs, 355 ; weaners, 15s to 20s ; three-quar ter Jersey yearling heifers, 36s to £3. Sheep —At Waverley : Wethers, 10s 6d ; ewes' in lamb, 6s 8d to 7s ld. At Wangauui : Mr Campbell's ewes, 9s 7d ; dry ewes, 4s to 7s ; ewes in lamb, 5s to 9s ld ; wethers, 7s 8d to 8s 3d woolly lambs, 6s lOd ; fat ewes 9d. Messrs Abraham and Williams report : — We have only the Palmerston saie to report upon. No cattle came forward, practically speaking. 18 months and twoyear steers were inquired for, but through out the oountry appears to be in excess of present requirements. A mederate entry of sheep came forward. All sortß were in demand and firm throughout. Lambs advanced in price fully ls per bead upon recent sales. Eweß in lamb are inquired for from all directions. Cattle — Fat cows, _£4 19s; yoarling heifers, 235; 2-year steers, £2 6s 6d. Sheep— Good quality store wethers, 10a 7d: others, 9s 3d to 10s 3d ; forward ewes, 8s 6d to 8s 8d ; 2-tooth empty ewes. 7s 7d to 8s 4d ; breeding ewes, 8s 3d; hoggets, 5s to 6a 7d. _____
