Kirby Committed for Trial.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, Tbis Day. Kirby's case was resumed to-day. Arthur Hume, Commissioner of Police, said in November, 1894, he received a complaint from Herman's solicitor against Kirby and passed it on throngh Inspector Emerson to tbe prisoner for an explanation, which was made. Tbe accused reserved his defence and was committed for trial. Tbe charge against Bassett was then taken, and jifter some evidence was given be was remanded foe 'the arrival of the Talnne on Wednesday. * - ' . . •
