WOOL MARKET ACTIVE.

(Per Press Association) London, June 30. At the wool auctions the bidding was spirited, though prices show from par to 5 per cent decline. The N.Z.L. and M.A. Co. report having received the following Liondon cable, dated Jane 30th : Frozen meat. — Canterbury mutton B|d per lb, Wellington 2j|d. Wool.— The sales opened with spirit to-day at the level of last sales. Competition by both Home and foreign buyers is active. The total quantity available, including wool held over from last series is 389,000 bales, 76,000 of which have been forwarded to the manufacturing districts. Messrs J. Nathan and Co. 'a London bouse cables that the wool sales, which opened on the 80th, are well attended, and that crossbred wools are very firm.
