AUSTRALIANS v. YORKSHIRE.
ANOTHER WIN FOR THE AUSTRALIANS. (Per Press Association.) London Jane 30. In the first innings of Yorkshire, Tramble took 2 wickets for 36, Giffen 1 for 34, McKibbin 7 for 24. In their second innings the Australians have lost 9 wickets for 233. The chief scores were— lredale 114, Darling 40, Giffen 12, Trott 14. Graham 29. Haigh bowled splendidly and took 7 wickets. July 1. Lord Hawke was badly missed twice. McKibbin took four of his wickets at cost of only nine runs. lredale and Graham scored 62 runs in 50 minutes. The former was missed when his total was at 20, and again at 108. He made a few strokes which gave the field a chance early in the game, otherwise his display of batting was a brilliant one. He was batting for almost three hours, and his score included fourteen fours. Kain fell after the first few wickets were down, and Haigh, finding the spot secured the last five wicket for 21 runs in 41 minutes. The attendance at Bradford to-day was good, the public being in hopes of seeing Yorkshire make a good fight. In their second innings the Australians were all out for 251, Jones, not out, 19. Haigh took 8 wickets for 78, and Jackson 2 for 46. The weather was hot and sultry, but the wicket was not in the best condition, and Yorkshire failed in the task set them. The last wicket fell at 190, the Australians winning by 140 runs. Tunnicliffe 59, and Denton 24.
