FURTHER MASSACRES BY THE REBELS. 60 SETTLERS MURDERED AND 70 MISSING. (Per Press Associaiton). Capetown, Jane 26. Captain Laing's force surprised Salemboo's kraal at Belingwee, killing Salemboo and his three sons. ' It is feared that ail the Hartley set- j tiers have been killed, as the district is held by 3000 rebels. Judge Vincent, who is commanding Fort Salisbury, states that reinforcements of 500 foot and 500 horse are required. June 28. 60 persons have been murdered by the Mashonas, and 70 others are reported missing. In the last few days 2000 Yorongazes have deserted from the Beira Railway works, and it is feared they have joined the rebels. Fifty thousand rounds of MartiniHenri ammunition, which was stolen at Marindella, have been found.
