(Par Press Association.) London, June 26. The Bank of England returns published to-day show the total reserve to be .£38,922,000, the proportion of reserve to liabilities being 5938 per cent. New Zealand frozen mutton— First quality, 3|d ; second quality, 2-Jd. Lamb, 4|d. The quotations for New Zealand hemp are unchanged. English wheat shows a general decline of 6d ; the Continental market is dull, and the American has a downward tendency. Sugar— German beet, 10s ; Java, 12s 7*d. New Zealand tallow is unchanged. The Bradford wool market is firm with a slight advance. No. 1 best Scotch pig iron, f.o.b. in Clyde, 46s lid. Silver, 2s 7d 9-16 th.

The N.Z. L. and M.A. Company has received the following message from its London office under date the 27th inst. : — Sheepskins -There is rather better demand. Merino market slightly weaker. Crossbred market firmer.
