Destructive Fire in Sydney.

A fire this morning destroyed two fourstorey buildings occupied by Jacobs and 1 Co., clothing manufacturers (not Wallace ' and Co. as preyiously cabled), and Ed- * wards, tea merchant. The fire brigade ' worked splendidly, and prevented a great conflagration. As it is, four hundred hands are thrown out of employment. . The block in which the fire occurred is j insured for £10,000, of which the New ' Zealand office has a line of £2000. Edwards' stock is insured for £1500, and | Jacobs' for £900, both in the New Zea. land office. The origin of the fire is uoknowni
