Mr Cutler is the first and only bona - fide maker in the Colonies ; haying made the first in Wellington in 1876 to the order of the late Thomas Mills, Esq, c for which he received 95 guineas. His ■* subsequent success was in Christchurch, ? where he made seventy three instruments, ■ and the lowest price obtained was 65gs Since 1884 he has been in N.S.W., 1 connected with the respected firm above alluded to.
