Two Constables Fined for Drunkenness.
[ (Per Press Association.) | Auckland, June 12. | Constables Dempster and Sbarp were charged before Mr Kenny, S.M., at the i Coromandel Court on Tuesday last with being drunk and disorderly in tbe Kapanga road on Saturday evening last. A number of witnesses were examined in support of the charge. A fine of £1, expenses for six witnesses and all costs of the Court were imposed. Inspector Hickson went to Coromandel specially to prosecute and defendants returned with him yesterday. In accordance with instructions from Wellington, defendants were paid off and discharged from the police force.
