They say two women recognised Kirby as he was walking in the street in Sidney, and after following him gave information to a clerk in the Union Company's office. The latter proceeded to the wharf jand informed the police, who then effected Kirby 's arrest. _At no time during tbe voyage was Kirby on deck.
