The senior championship match Feilding v. Pirates, which was to have been plavecl at Feilding on Saturday, did not eventuate, as the latter did not put iv an appearance, much to tbe annoyance ot the home team and the spectators. After waiting until 4 o'clock, the Feilding team kicked off and claimed the match. From the Standard it appears the Pirates could not get a team away, but the least they could tiave done was to have advised the Feilding team by wire of the fact. The senior match Palmerston v. Foxton, played at Foxton on Saturday, resulted in a draw, neither side scoring. In the junior contest, Roneotea defeated Paimerston II by 11 points to nil. Tho following team will represent the Red Stars against the Pirate 11, at Feilding, on Wednesday afternoon : — Fullback, Allen ; three - quarters, W. Smith, J. Smith, A. Foster ; halves. McNiccol and Hurdle; forwards, Brinckruann, Rosoman, Parkes, King, Walton, Morris, Macmillan, Jos. Smith, Hamilton. Players who can't attend are requested to notify the secretary at once.
