o Mr Matthew Henry reports of bis Palmerston sale : — Cattle and sheep came forward in moderate numbers, the former being chiefly composed of useful lines of steers, the older of which met a dragging Bale. Wethers of medium quality made up the entry of Bheep, which had to bo cleared at prices rather in favor purchasers. Subjoined are quotations ofthe days, bnsineS 3 : — Cattle, 18-month to 2-year steers, SOs : yearlings, to 18- month steers, 35s to 40s ; 17-month heifers, 43s ; weaners, I7a 6d to 25s ; forward cows, L 3 15s. Sheep - 2-tooth wethers, 7s 4d to 7s lOd ; ewes in lamb, 5s- 6d.
