Quiulivan was awarded The Brook or her value, fixed at £250, for wrongful seizure .£25 and for wrongful detention .£'l2s. Douglas was awarded £67, the balance of accounts between the parties. The costs of arbitration were against Douglas. The total award against Douglas was 1832 10s, reduced by £67 counter claims, and by a further .£250 if he returns The Brook, leaving him to pay £515 10s and costs. Quinlivan's claim was about £4000, and Douglas put in a contra for £118.
