Brunner Fund Conference.

(Per Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. At the Brunner Conference it was decided after some discussion that each delegate should have one vote. The Premier moved the Conference proceed to business, and not wait for the Municipal Convention in July. Mr Duthie moved to defer till the Municipal Convention met. The Premier's motion was carried on the voices. The Premier moved the funds be paid to the Public Trustee, and an AdvisoryBoard be appointed. Mr Fisner moved the fund be placed in the Public Trustee's bands for administration, and that he be assisted by the Mayors of Greymouth, Hokitika, Brunnerton and Reef ton. Mr Bland (Brunner) said if placed in the Public Trustee's hands it would give great satisfaction in his district. Mr Duthie thought the funds should be allocated now. The Premier considered there should be an Advisory Board even from a financial aspect. Mr Stead suggested the funds be invested in terminable annnities as this course had found favor in Canterbury. Sir Robert Stout urged this would give too little, but Mr Beswick thought lie under estimated the amount. i "Mr Hislop preferred some scheme of distribution like that adopted in the Wairarapa Fund. Mr Fisher's amendment was lost by 9 to 5. •
