(Continued) The Board resumed yesterday morning. Railway Season Ticket — A letter was read from the Education Department, Wellington, stating that season tickets for art students would be issued at at very much reduced rates, which the Board decided to advertise. Pohangina— From Committee, asking for grant for repairs. Pound for pound was granted. Pemberton — School site to be leased. Rongotea — Letter from Committee drawing attention to overcrowded state of school, and asking the Board to erect a small outbuilding for the teachers' convenience. — Mr Sanson reported on the buildings, and urged the necessity of the alterations. — The architect was authorised to prepare plans for alterations and additions. Mangaweka — A letter was received from Mr T. Munro, objecting to C. G. Darville being elected a member of the committee, as he was no not eligible. — A petition was also received from a number of householders asking the Board to treat Mr Munro's letter " with the contempt it deserved." — Mr Daryille also wrote explaining. — The Board decided to uphold the election. Drawiug — Chairman to arrange for examiner of drawing for pupil-teachers. . Finance — The Chairman and Messrs Parani and Robbins were appointed a Committee to deal with the accounts prior to each meeting and to report annually on the finances of the Board. School Committee — It was decided that a circular be sent to all School Committees asking them in future not to show in the annual balance-sheet sent to the Board amounts spent in prizes and school treats. Colyton— lt was decided to direct the Committee's attention to the Inspector's report. Huntervjlle — From Committee re separate shelter shed for girls, and also asking for additions to the school : referred to Mr Lethbridge to report. On the motion of Mr Robbins it was decided to give the committees and teachers a free hand in regard to drill, and that it be optional which system is taught. Awatuna— Miss Lilly McKenna to be transferred to Awatuua after the holidays. _____ _______
