The following team has finaily been chosen to represent Feilding in the senior match with Foxten, on the Oval to-mor-row: — Full-back, Moore; three-quarters, Giesen, Robinson, Wilson ; five- eighth, Scandrett ; half, Shannon ; wings, Matravers, McDonnell ; forwards, B. and D. Whisker, Giesen (2), Mends, Stuart and Farmer. Emergency — D. Whisker. Play commences at 1.45 sharp, as the visitors leave by the 4 o'clock train. At a meeting of members of the Colyton Football Club on Wednesday evening it was decided to join the Oroaa Rugby Union. A match will be played at Colyton to morrow between the Colyton and Cheltenham Clubs. At a meeting of the Recreation Reserve, it was decided to allow the foot- j bailers to play on the Oval this season, providing the local clubs paid £1 each towards the cost of putting it in order at the end of the season, the fees to be paid before the matches are played there. On Wednesday last Hunterville defeated Rata by 14 points to 5. Mr G. Shannon has been elected president of the Rangitikei Rugby Union. The Marton Club have, apparently, a very strong team this season and should give a good account of themselves in the contest for the Rangitikei Union chainshipship this season. Notwithstanding the refusal of the Manawatu Rugby Union to admit the Oroua Union as a branch, the latter intend to make another effort to become affiliated to the N.Z. Union through one of the Unions on this coast. The Rongotea and Red Stars will meet at Rongotea on Wednesday next. Owing to their rough handling while playing against Greytown, two or three of the most prominent members of the Feilding team will be nnable to play against Foxton in the first senior match of the season, to be played at Feilding to-morrow. A match will be played at Apiti tomorrow between the Apiti and Birmingham Clubs.
