CHESS AND DRAUGHTS CLUB.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — Yoar correspondent " no longer Checkmate " has introduced to our notice '* the one thing wanting" in Feilding. There are scores of people here by whom a Chess and Draughts Club would be gladly welcomed as a means of passing many a pleasant evening. To my knowledge Feilding boasts of many good players, both in chess and draughts, who would willingly do all they could to made such a club a success, and amongst whom we need not be surprised to find a " Champion" in the near future. That such a Club is needed here there is not the slightest doubt and a meeting called for the purpose should meet with much sympathy and encouragement. Trusting the suggestion will be carried through. I am, etc., Pro-Bono-Publico. ,
