St. Bathan_, April 28. The Hon J. McKenzie addressed a crowded meeting of his constituents afc St. Bathans to-night on various political questions of tbe day, and gave an outline of the proposed legislation of next session. The address was very well received and was frequently applauded. On the motion pf-Mr Thos. \Vilkinson, seconded by tyr'FaJiey, 'a vote of thanks for Mr Me' Kenzie's address, confidence in bim as a representative! and confidence in the Government,' was carried unanimously. — N.Z.
