(Per Press Association.) London, April 28. In the House of Commons, the Hon. A. J. Balfour stated that the Government had resolved in any event to pass the Voluntary School Bill and a Bill for the relief of agricultural distress, by reducing rates on farming lands, The fate of tbe Irish Land Law Reform Bill, he said, trembled in the balance, and would be impossible to pass into law this session if there was to be an extended discussion on it. The motion that the Government have control of tbe time for the remainder of the session was, on a division, adopted by a majority of 142.
