c A NEW AND IMPORTANT SYNDICATE BEGIN OPERATIONS. (Per Press Association) Auckland, April 17. It is understood that Herr Wichmann has now completed the organisation of tbe business of his company in New Zealand. Mr Gordon has been appointod general manager and representative, and Mr Parks consulting mining engineer. Mr Gordon desiring to be able on occasions of special importance to take counsel with other friends of the company in New Zealand, Herr Wichmann has appointed a Council of Advice, the members of, which, while in no way concerned in the management of the company, will express their opinion and advice when called upon either by the general manager or London Board. Mr Gordon will be the chairman of the council, and the Hon R. J. Seddon and Messrs A. G. Horton and T. L. Murray (by consent of the Wellington Board of the Bank of New Zealand) have agreed to join.
