Coal Miners' Strike.

1 O" ' " ■■ '" (Per Press Association.) Newcastle, April 17. At a meeting of miners' delegates it was decided to postpone the notice of a strike for a week. Prior to deciding, the dele gates wired to Mr Reid asking for definite information as to the willingness ot the proprietors to confer on the difficulty. Mr Reid replied that three large proprietors bad voluntarily offered to negotiate for a settlement, and he was confident others would act similarly. AH the mine proprietors who previously refused to negotiate with tbe|miners have now consented to do so, and the conference is assured.
