The Bench intimated it was intended to substantially reduce the already existing wholesale licenses. At a meeting of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce it was resolved to communicate with the Minister of Commerce and Industries with reference to the question of trade with Western Australia, suggesting the advisability of subsidising a monthly line of steamers to that colony.
