Palmerston Hospital Board.

The monthly meeting was held yesterday, Present — Messrs W. Park (chairman). T. R. Taylor, D. B. Harris, W. Raveuhill, H. Booth, F. Y. Lcthbridge, and V. C. Ransome. Mr Moran waited on the Board with regard to the death of his son, who died in the Hospital after amputation of his arm had been performed. It appeared that enquiry had been made by the luspector of Police in Wellington as to why an inquest had not been held, and had appealed to the Board to make some enquiry into the matter. It was decided to ask the doctors for a report on the case. Mr Harris stated that Mi- J. C. R. Isherwood had complained to him of the treatment his son had received at the Hospital, but as there was no formal complaint before the Board, it was decided that no notice could be taken of the matter. The Secretary was instructed to take proceedings against E. W. Langstone for recovery of money paid for the maintenance of his children at the Burnham Industrial School.— Standard.
