Draughts Tournament.

(Per Press Association) Wanganui, April 8. Mr Boreham won the championship and L2O after brilliant play throughout. It is admitted by the representatives present that the contest just concluded is the hardest yet fought in New Zealand for the cause of draughts. The best players here admin that the finest games of draughts yet played in Australasia, haye been won and lost in Wanganui. The concert to congratulate the champion nnd celebrate the first draughts championship tournament was held to-night. The leading people of Wanganui were present and it was the greatest success ever been held. Henderson will take second prize, Ll2, Leggat third, LB, Montgomery or Kay fourth, Jjs and L 3 10s respectively, and Anderson the 6th prize, LI 10s.
