Manawatu Rugby Union.
A meetiug of delegates was held in Palmerston last evening, Mr J. H. Hankius presiding. Delegates were present from the Palmerston, Pirate, Feilding, Half-Holiday, and Red Star clubs. It was resolved to request the clubs which played for the senior aud junior championships last year to subscribe a sufficient sum to purchase medals for the winners. The balauce sheet, not being audited, was held over. The following officers were elected : — President, Mr J. H. Hankins: vicePresidents, Messrs E. Goodbeberc, L. A. Abraham, and J.Hall; vice- President to N.Z. Union, Mr J. H. Hankins; Senior Match Committee, Messrs Giesen, Fake, and Roberts ; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr H. Palmer. Iv response to a request from the Uniou it was decided to change the colors, and green and white were selected, colors to be registered at ouce. A hearty vote ot thauks was passed to Mr C. Marter, of Wellington, for his services as representative of the local Union to the N.Z. Union. It was decided to request Mr Gordon Elliott to act as delegate for the present year. — Times.
